Sigmund von Exner-Ewarten (1846-1926), assistant de Brücke auquel il succéda plus tard à la Chaire de Physiologie en 1891. Sigmund von Exner-Ewarten (1846-1926), assistant to Brücke whom he later succeeded in the Chair of Physiology in 1891. As consultant to the Ministry of Education in 1901, he played a certain role in Freud's appointment as Extraordinary Professor. (See letter to Fliess, 11th March 1903).
